Register as a Speaker with The Speakers' Bureau
The Speakers' Bureau is currently recruiting speakers so if you think you have what it takes, why not register using the form below. We'll be in touch with you soon! The bureau is interested in handling anyone who wishes to speak in schools, universities, colleges and TAFEs.
It is anticipated that the talks/lectures/presentation/workshops will run between one and two hours depending on what the schools want and what the speakers wish to provide. Each situation will be different.
Schools are willing to pay $100 for one hour and $175 for two hours, GST exclusive. Schools prefer to book well in advance, i.e. five to six weeks ahead.
(The speakers' Bureau is administered by Metro magazine on behalf of the Australian Teachers of Media Inc., an independent, non-profit incorporated association promoting the study of screen literacy. Metro magazine will co-ordinate all bookings and act as a liaison between the speakers and the educational organisations. The educational organisations will pay the speaker's fee to ATOM which will deduct a 20% booking and administration fee and remit the balance to the speaker, i.e. 20% of $100 or $175 depending on the length of the presentation. Conditions: no travel allowance, must have an ABN.)
Please complete and submit the form below. You will be contacted shortly. If you have any queries, please contact Peter Tapp at Metro Magazine by email editor@atom.org.au.
