Australian Screen Education http://www.metromagazine.com.au
Australian Screen Education is a joint venture between the Australian Teachers of Media and the Australian Film Commission. Australian Screen Education is a national magazine published quarterly. It is written by and for teachers and students in secondary and primary schools and now covers all curriculum areas, including Science and Mathematics. Our mission is to publish a journal of excellence for the teaching of screen literacy at primary and secondary levels. Australian Screen Education acts as a guide for teachers and students, facilitating the use of technology in the classroom, and providing in-depth analysis of a range of media-related issues. It also provides a forum in which teachers can share their experiences with particular programmes, study guides, lesson plans, classroom activities, and so on. We are all consumers of media; Australian Screen Education hopes to promote the development of our young students as critically informed consumers.
